So, I came across new hot model Li Ming the other day. For some reason, this amazing photo shoot completely captures what I have been feeling lately. My computer is on its last byte which makes using it pure torture. That spinning rainbow wheel of death is like watching a performance with the world's smallest and cruelest magician whose trick is to hypnotize you into making you lose your mind. But no more will I stand for that! I am getting a new computer this week, I tell you! Then I will be posting more, I hope, and becoming a better person. Yippee! <3

Check out these amazing pictures Tim took while we were at the White Ring show at Show Cave in Eagle Rock. My co-worker/pal Ted likes to call their musical genre screwgaze, you know, hard and dancey, as opposed to the staring-at-your-feet, slowly swaying, shoegaze of the 90s. Galaxie500 anyone? It is also called witch house which I really like and as I feel the first photo evokes.

These pictures were taken a few days ago by Madeline on her Canon. We had a mega-fun adventure in shopping.I loved her post about her shopping rules. I completely agree. My boyfriend called this outfit "Pirate Gaucho." I'm not sure how I feel about that. The blouse is my favorite thing about this outfit. I discovered it after much digging and all my itchiness and sneezing and tried patience was worth it!

I really love this long cardigan I found at H&M-- on sale too! It's perfect for a not quite warm but not too cold, spring day. And this belt, of course, speaks for itself! It was a find from high school days and I love the story it tells. I think of a fierce savannah girl who was raised by big cats...Her name is Aster or Sera. She pretty much rules the serengheti and kicks poachers' asses! I think there needs to be a movie made about her soon...Probably starring Halle Berry...

Vidal, dahling...

As some of you may know, I work at a book store. Book Soup in West Hollywood, to be exact, and yesterday night we had the honor of hosting Vidal Sassoon, who has come out with his autobiography. He wrote it himself, no ghost! He is the most charming octogenarian gentleman and I had the pleasure of hosting this event. He talked about cutting Mia Farrow's hair for Rosemary's Baby, talked about parties with Mary Quant, and he even has a Winston Churchill cocktail party tidbit. He's a dynamic man and was kind enough to invite me to be a guest at a salon of his in L.A. As you can tell from these pictures, I'm in dire need of a haircut! I'm really interested in documenting this hair cut adventure with you all. I won't go too crazy, unfortunately, and get any sort of iconic Sassoon bob or anything like that! I just want long, even, wavy, witch hair, sans bangs.

Bad at blogging

These pictures are actually from a couple days ago. I'm still getting the hang of doing a post a day and on the correct date. I have weird neuroses that make me feel like I'm lying when I post a picture from a different day and it doesn't have the correct date on the post, but then I also have a weird hang-up about changing the date on the post because I actually POSTED it on this day and not the date of when the photo was taken. SO BASICALLY--MY LIFE IS A MESS!

Oh, and another thing...how do I make my photos bigger without running into the sidebar stuff? I know I obviously need to edit the html and make the body wider, but how do I do that? I hate that I'm asking html advice on my blog too, I always snicker when other people do that 'cause it's really lame. Well, guess what? I'm totally lame. So what? I shall snicker no more!
