That earring is really a keychain that our friend/houseguest Xavier gave me while we were RVing it at Coachella that I fashioned into an earring as I was running out the door because I thought I needed some wacky accessory. This outfit is really the most effortless outfit ever put together because I actually slept in the sweater and shorts the night before. Yup, this is me wearing my pajamas out in public. I mean, I love fashion and all but some days you just can't be bothered to think about assembling a whole new outfit together, no matter how much you love fashion and getting ready, right? I haven't worn my chucks in a million years but they're making a debut today because, like I said, this was LAZY DAY!
Anyways, another issue: Tim and I are shopping for a DSLR, right now we have the very cute and stylish Leica D-Lux 4, which is great for it's versatility and charming good looks but I've noticed my pictures are definitely sub-par compared to all the lovely professional looking photos I've come across on fashion blogs. I've narrowed down my decision to buying some kind of Canon. Which Canon DSLR shall I get? What kind of camera do you have and what do you like/hate about it? Let me know your thoughts! <3

Can't help you with the camera search, I actually have no clue what Joey uses (how is that possible? I should really know what camera my husband has!). I do know it looks very pretty and professional...which is cool, but neither helpful nor relevant.
Sorry about the Epic Poem length nonsense comment. For some reason I become annoyingly loquacious as the weather heats up- strange and random, but true. Every year. Imagine what it's like for poor Joey.

Also, love this sweater so much. Oversized sweaters are most definitely my cup of tea.

cool outfit, i love your bag! i have the cheap model canon rebel but am thinking about upgrading to the next level...it's a great camera either way, and good for beginners who are just getting started with a dslr :)

For something that was slept in, you look great. It's difficult to not compare yourself to other bloggers. I think your photos are beautiful, just sayin'. I'd love to have a dslr one day, but then, I think about all the clothes I could buy instead.

That palm-tree-key-chain-turned-earring really does the look, lady friend! Britney and I both now use the Rebel T2i on our blogs (it's the same one you played with that day we went to Santee Alley). I recommend!
ReplyDeleteJust like Madeline I use the Canon Rebel T2i and I really don't feel like I need a fancier one. I use it for shooting for magazines, book covers and so on and noone ever complained about the quality, so apparently it does the trick. I'd say that if you get a DSLR you very much need a 50mm-lense, it costs maybe a 100 bucks but it's SO WORTH IT. I never use any other lense even though I have quite a few different ones.
